What we do?
Gadh Maati empowers rural Uttarakhand by offering technical training and sustainable development programs
At Gadh Maati, our mission is to empower rural communities in Uttarakhand by equipping them with the practical skills and resources needed to achieve self-sufficiency. We believe that sustainable development begins at the grassroots level, which is why our programs focus on providing technical training in sustainable agriculture, entrepreneurship development, and eco-friendly practices.
Our initiatives are designed to create meaningful employment opportunities, reduce migration, and significantly enhance the quality of life in the villages we serve. By addressing local challenges with innovative and culturally relevant solutions, we strive to build strong, resilient communities that can thrive independently.
Our Mission
Migration is a pressing issue in Uttarakhand's rural villages, posing a significant challenge to both local communities and the state government. With a vision of reverse migration, our founder, Mrs. Ranjana Rawat, is committed to creating job opportunities for the youth in these areas. Her innovative approaches to employment in remote regions have made her a role model for both villagers and young people. By encouraging the youth to return to their roots in the mountains, we aim to address migration's impact on our society and economy.
Our Vision
Our vision at Gadh Maati Sangathan is to create self-employment models that generate job opportunities in Uttarakhand's rural areas, thereby reducing migration. We strive to foster a mindset where individuals see themselves as job creators rather than job seekers. By exploring every possible avenue to retain our population in the hills, we aim to preserve the vitality and economic potential of our communities.
